Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Health Care Litigation Attorney to engage with clients across the healthcare continuum, addressing a spectrum of legal issues including governance, compliance, employment matters, and more. The ideal candidate should possess top-notch academic credentials, exceptional writing abilities, and a strategic mindset to tackle complex litigation in the healthcare sector.

Duties:

  • Engage with clients spanning various sectors of the healthcare continuum, including hospitals, community health centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, support housing, and human service providers.
  • Handle a wide range of legal issues including governance, employment disputes, compliance matters, problems of survey and certification, licensing, credentialing and privileging disputes, peer review, HIPAA and privacy concerns, disciplinary matters, and labor and employment issues.
  • Provide legal counsel, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents related to health care litigation.
  • Represent clients in litigation proceedings, including hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law in health care litigation.
  • Possess top academic credentials and demonstrate excellent writing skills.
  • Exhibit a superior work ethic and the ability to think strategically.
  • Massachusetts Bar membership or eligibility to waive in is required.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility to waive in.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of health care laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice.
