The candidate must excel in direct interactions with senior partners and clients, handling multiple matters simultaneously in a team-based environment. Duties:

  • Provide legal support to senior partners and clients on environmental law matters.
  • Work on multiple matters simultaneously in a team-based environment.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents related to environmental regulations.
  • Counsel clients on regulatory compliance matters under federal environmental laws and their state equivalents.
  • Assist in advising clients on environmental aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Handle government enforcement proceedings related to environmental regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active member of the Bar in good standing.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in regulatory compliance matters under federal environmental laws and their state equivalents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior partners and clients.
  • Exceptional research and writing skills.
  • Previous law firm or government experience at a relevant agency (e.g., EPA/DOJ or WDNR/ILEPA or AG) strongly preferred.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • JD from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active Bar membership in the jurisdiction.
