Job Overview: The Litigation Associate Attorney will assist with all aspects of litigation matters, including case management, legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, attending court hearings, and participating in trials. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior associates to provide high-quality legal representation to clients.

Duties:

  • Assist with case management and preparation, including conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other proceedings as necessary.
  • Participate in trial preparation and proceedings, including drafting trial briefs and assisting with witness preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates to develop case strategy and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Handle a diverse caseload involving various types of litigation matters.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience practicing law, focusing on litigation.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent legal advocacy skills and ability to effectively represent clients in court.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Federal Court experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A New York Bar license is required.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
