Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Chattanooga, TN, seeks a skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation and must be licensed and in good standing with the TN State Bar. The role involves client communication, taking and defending depositions, research, drafting, leading mediations, developing case strategies, and taking cases to trial.

Duties:

• Communicate with clients regarding their personal injury cases, providing updates and guidance throughout the legal process.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Conduct legal research, analyze case law, statutes, and regulations, and draft legal documents such as complaints, answers, motions, and briefs.
• Lead mediation and negotiate settlements with opposing parties.
• Develop comprehensive case strategies tailored to the specific circumstances of each case.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, motions, and trials.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Tennessee State Bar.
• Experience drafting and responding to motions.
• Substantial knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Tennessee State Bar.
