A law firm is seeking a Mid to Senior Litigation Associate Attorney for their Stamford office. The candidate will take on substantive and client-facing assignments, gaining invaluable experience and professional growth opportunities in a collaborative environment. They should have experience litigating in both state and federal court, collaborating with partners and clients to develop litigation strategies, and handling the nuts-and-bolts of litigation.

 

Duties:

  • Collaborate with partners and clients to develop litigation strategies.
  • Conduct discovery including depositions, document review, and expert witness preparation.
  • Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Manage e-discovery processes and navigate discovery disputes.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Conduct fact and expert discovery.
  • Handle court appearances and argue motions.
  • Manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in general commercial litigation.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school with top academic credentials.
  • Admission to the Connecticut State Bar (or ability to waive in).
  • Barred in the state of their resident office.

 

Skills:

  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Excellent client-relations skills.
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

 

Education:

J.D. from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:
