Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney

A law firm in St. Louis is seeking a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with multitasking, possess strong analytical skills, and be able to handle a high volume of files independently while meeting strict deadlines. The candidate should also demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to remaining current with developments in the law.

Duties:

• Independently manage a large volume of files and meet strict deadlines.
• Gather evidence and medical records to support client strategy.
• Take depositions of claimants, witnesses, medical experts, and other parties.
• Conduct discovery and perform legal research.
• Remain current with developments in medical malpractice laws.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.
• Utilize preferred working knowledge of medical malpractice laws and procedures.
• Manage and track a volume caseload with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Utilize excellent negotiation skills in legal proceedings.
• Maintain excellent written and oral communication skills.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience working in personal injury litigation.
• Must be licensed and able to practice law in both Missouri and Illinois.
• Prior experience in the legal field required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and autonomously handle a large volume of files.
• Teachable with a commitment to remaining current with developments in the law.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited Law School.
• Admission to practice law in Missouri and Illinois.
