Carlton Fields Adds Appellate Litigator to National Appellate and Trial Support Practice

Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Christopher J. Norris has joined the firm as an associate in Miami. He is a member of the firm’s national Appellate and Trial Support Practice, which comprises a diverse team of attorneys, including a former appellate judge and former law clerks from numerous state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Norris is also the ninth attorney to join the firm’s Miami office since January 2022.
“Our firm has always been committed to quality growth,” said Steven J. Brodie, Carlton Fields Miami office co-managing shareholder. “We are excited to welcome Christopher to our Miami team as we continue to expand our footprint in South Florida.”
Sylvia H. Walbolt, chair of the firm’s Appellate and Trial Support Practice, added, “We are fortunate to have young lawyers with varied backgrounds choose to grow their practices at Carlton Fields. We’re delighted to welcome Christopher to the firm.”
Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Norris served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Alan O. Forst in the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal. He also served as a trial court law clerk and staff attorney in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.
Norris earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he also earned his B.A. in Political Science.
