Proskauer Further Expands Litigation Department with Arrival of Vinay Kohli as a Partner in Los Angeles

Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today announced that Vinay Kohli has joined as a Partner in its Litigation Department. Vinay will be based in Los Angeles and will focus his practice on clients across the health care industry.

“Vinay is a skilled trial lawyer, with a proven track record in health care, having successfully navigated a myriad of industry issues,” said Michael Firestein, vice-chair of Proskauer’s Litigation Department and co-head of West Coast Litigation. “He is well-positioned to help us continue to expand our health care litigation practice, and I am excited to welcome him to our Firm.”

“I’m pleased to welcome Vinay to our Health Care Group. As health care delivery and services and the payer-patient relationship change, so does the range of expertise our clients need. Vinay’s litigation experience will be a valuable addition to our team of health care-focused lawyers,” said David Manko, chair of Proskauer’s Health Care Group.

Vinay brings more than a decade of litigation experience to Proskauer, having spent the majority of his career working as a litigator and trusted advisor for health care providers. His clients include hospital systems, physician groups, post-acute care providers and healthcare technology companies. He also represents and advises private equity-backed clients in the health care industry on matters relating to fraud and abuse, revenue cycle management and labor and employment issues.

“I am thrilled to join Proskauer and continue to build on their success,” said Vinay. “As the market continues to evolve, I look forward to working alongside my new colleagues to help clients across the full spectrum of the health care industry meet their business objectives.”

Vinay received his B.B.A. and M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and his J.D. from the University of Texas Law School. He joins from King & Spalding.
