Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Michael B. Schaedle was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy on March 15 in San Diego, California. The 2019 induction ceremony and reception was held at the historic Hotel del Coronado and honored the 36 Fellows of the Thirtieth Class of the American College of Bankruptcy, who were recognized for their “professional excellence and exceptional contributions” to the bankruptcy and insolvency practice.

In receiving this well-deserved honor, he joins his Blank Rome colleagues Regina Stango Kelbon and Thomas E. Biron, who are also Fellows of the American College of Bankruptcy.”
The 2019 Class of Fellows underwent a rigorous nomination process and were extended an invitation to join based on a record of achievement reflecting the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, character, integrity, professional expertise, and leadership contributing to the enhancement of bankruptcy and insolvency law and practice; sustained evidence of scholarship, teaching, lecturing, or writing on bankruptcy or insolvency; community service; and commitment to elevating knowledge and understanding of the profession and public respect for the practice. All Fellows also must have a minimum of 15 years of practice and 10 years of specialization in bankruptcy. The final candidates were selected by the College’s Board of Regents from among recommendations of circuit admissions councils in each federal judicial circuit and specially appointed committees for judicial and international Fellows.
The American College of Bankruptcy is an honorary association of bankruptcy and insolvency professionals and plays an important role in sustaining professional excellence in the field. College Fellows include commercial and consumer bankruptcy attorneys, judges, insolvency accountants, turnaround and workout specialists, law professors, government officials, and others in the bankruptcy and insolvency community.
