Sidley Austin Welcomes Partner in Hong Kong

Sidley Austin LLP announced the addition of a new partner in their Global Finance Practice. Allan Wardrop has joined the firm in Hong Kong from Hogan Lovells.
Wardrop is a highly recognized finance lawyer with experience representing private equity sponsors, asset managers, hedge funds, and commercial and investment banks in dealings involving mezzanine, special situation financings, and investments. Wardrop also has extensive experience with senior secured creditors in the advice of leveraged and acquisition finance transactions such as debt restructurings. He has a strong knowledge of corporate lending, property financings, cross-border transactions, and direct and alternative lending by funds.
China Region managing partner and member of the firm’s Management Committee Constance Choy said, “Allan’s high standing in the special situations market and with senior secured lenders is impressive, and especially significant given Hong Kong’s status as a major global financial hub.
