Mayer Brown Adds to Private Credit Group in Chicago
Summary: Mayer Brown added finance partner Jaime Gatenio to their Private Credit group in Chicago.
Mayer Brown announced the expansion of their global Private Credit group. Jaime Gatenio will join the Chicago office as a Banking & Finance partner in the group. She joins from Jones Day.
Mayer Brown’s co-leader Frederick C. Fisher of the global Lending group said, “We are very excited to have Jaime join our Private Credit group. She is extremely well-regarded in the finance community and her arrival will further enhance our global Private Credit platform. Mayer Brown is very focused on providing a full suite of capabilities to private credit funds, and Jaime’s addition further strengthens this team and allows us to meet the growing demand from our clients and opportunities in the sector.”
Gatenio will focus on debt financing transactions by representing financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and borrowers. She said, “Mayer Brown’s strong reputation in the financial services space, extensive cross-border lending capabilities and strength in complementary areas such as fund formation and tax enable me to expand the scope of my practice and client offerings. I look forward to leveraging these capabilities and contributing to the firm’s market-leading finance practice.”

Gatenio earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and her BBA from Emory University.
