DLA Piper Welcomes Corporate Partner to Washington D.C. Team
Summary: Corporate partner Danish Hamid has joined DLA Piper in the Washington D.C. office.
DLA Piper announced the addition of corporate attorney Danish Hamid to their team. Hamid will join the Corporate practice in Washington D.C. as a partner. He joins from Cooley where he was co-chair of their FCPA and International Anti-Corruption Practice.
John Gilluly, DLA Piper’s US chair of the Corporate practice, “Danish has a deep understanding of both domestic and global compliance requirements, which will serve our clients will in today’s challenging regulatory landscape. His skills and knowledge integrate closely with our leading global white collar and regulatory practices.”
Hamid represents clients on cross-border transactions, internal investigations, and regulatory compliance. As an international lawyer, he has developed expertise in drafting and negotiating complex international sales, outsourcing, licensing, joint venture, distribution and foreign government and military procurement contracts.
Managing Partner Jeff Lehrer of the Washington D.C. office added, “With so much uncertainty in Washington, particularly within the life sciences and technology industries, it’s more important than ever for companies to ensure they’re staying on track. Danish’s attention to detail in leading investigations across various industries and his reputation for efficiently and effectively handling clients’ needs will be very valuable to our clients.”
Hamid earned his J.D. from George Washington University and his B.A. from the University of Oxford.
Other recent additions to the DLA Piper team in Washington D.C. include John Rah, Anna Spencer, and Raphael Larson. The Corporate practice has received new additions worldwide, including Paul Wassgren, Jeff Legault, and Omari Sealy.
