A law firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney with the following responsibilities:

Job Overview: The Junior to Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney will primarily focus on providing transactional tax advice and support to clients, with an emphasis on fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as:
    • Working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing.
    • Participating in digital/virtual conference calls.
    • Participating in meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in transactional tax, preferably dealing with fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions.
  • Direct and applicable experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in GA.
