Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Government Contracts Associate to join its government and regulatory practice in New York. The ideal candidate will have three to six years of experience in construction and/or government contracts and regulatory matters, with a preference for those familiar with heavy civil construction disputes and local, state, and federal government contracts.

Duties

  • Assist clients with navigating complex legal and public policy issues.
  • Work on local and state government contracts, bid protests, and construction disputes.
  • Engage with municipal/public law issues across various industries.
  • Appear before courts, boards, commissions, and other government entities.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience at a top law firm or government agency.
  • Stellar academic credentials.
  • Excellent writing, research, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • New York Bar Membership in good standing.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
