A law firm in Menlo Park, CA, is seeking a skilled Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of family law matters, including high-asset and complex custody/financial cases, with a focus on legal research, writing, client communication, and court appearances.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, letters, memos, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate clearly and discreetly with clients, Opposing Counsel, experts, and consultants.
  • Independently prioritize tasks and address assignments from multiple partners to meet deadlines.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and various family law proceedings.
  • Collaborate effectively with legal secretaries, paralegals, and fellow attorneys.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve client objectives.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • 3-6 years of experience in family law, with a preference for high-asset or complex custody/financial cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as DissoMaster, Lawyaw, Lawgic, WestLaw, and/or Attorney's Briefcase.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • California State Bar license.
