Mid to Senior-level Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Altamonte Springs, FL, is seeking a Mid to Senior-level Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of property insurance litigation experience. The candidate will handle cases representing property owners and contractors in first-party insurance disputes, involving drafting and arguing motions, pleadings, and discovery documents, as well as deposition and mediation attendance. Active membership in the Florida Bar is required, along with excellent research and writing abilities.

Duties:

• Handle cases representing property owners and contractors in first-party insurance disputes.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend mediations and participate in firm-sponsored marketing events.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Provide legal advice and representation to clients.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of property insurance litigation experience.
• Active membership in the Florida Bar.
• Experience drafting and arguing dispositive and discovery motions.
• Excellent research and writing abilities.
• Familiarity with Westlaw and Microsoft Office products.
• Deposition and mediation experience.
• Highly organized and self-motivated individual capable of operating under minimal supervision.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
