The law firm is seeking a Senior Attorney for its Chicago office with a focus on health care, ERISA, and commercial litigation matters. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in drafting litigation documents and must demonstrate strong communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills. The Senior Attorney should be able to work independently and collaboratively, managing projects with meticulous attention to detail.

 

Job Details:

  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Utilize strong communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Possess transferable skills and a strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
  • Exhibit strong project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in drafting litigation documents, including motions to dismiss, written discovery, and summary judgment motions.
  • State and federal court experience is a plus.
  • Specialization in health care, ERISA, and commercial litigation matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong drafting skills for legal documents.
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and with clients.
  • Project management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
