Job Overview:
A growing law firm specializing in property insurance litigation is seeking a First-Party Property Insurance Attorney to manage a caseload of claims from inception through resolution. This role is ideal for an attorney with 2–4 years of experience in first-party property insurance who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong legal writing and courtroom skills, and can work both independently and collaboratively with a legal team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of cases, guide clients through legal processes, and appear in court regularly.

Location:

  • Miramar, GA

Duties:

  • Manage caseload of first-party property insurance claims through all stages of litigation

  • Conduct thorough case assessments and develop litigation strategies

  • Provide legal counsel and regular updates to clients

  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence

  • Perform legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms

  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and motion arguments

  • Lead settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and insurance representatives

  • Supervise paralegals, clerks, and administrative staff involved in case management

  • Present legal strategies and recommendations to clients and internal teams

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of recent experience in first-party property insurance litigation

  • Prior experience in a law firm setting (minimum 1–2 years)

  • Demonstrated ability to handle a high-volume caseload independently

  • Skilled in legal analysis, client communication, and courtroom advocacy

  • Familiarity with Florida insurance laws and litigation procedures

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the Florida Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills

  • Effective decision-making, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite

  • Advanced knowledge of legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
