Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lateral Attorney to join team. The ideal candidate should bring a diverse legal background and perspective to contribute to our firm's success. As a Lateral Attorney, you will play a key role in providing legal expertise and support in various practice areas.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of legal matters, including but not limited to litigation, corporate law, real estate, and intellectual property.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support clients' cases and provide legal counsel.
  • Draft and review legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and other legal instruments.
  • Participate in negotiations, mediation, and arbitration proceedings.
  • Attend court hearings and trials to advocate on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and legal support staff to ensure effective case management and client satisfaction.
  • Stay current with legal developments, statutes, and regulations relevant to the firm's practice areas.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the New York State Bar or eligible for immediate admission.
  • Legal practice experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Proven success in handling diverse legal cases and a strong track record of achievements.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
