A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team in Charlotte, NC. The firm is looking for an experienced and passionate advocate with a deep understanding of litigation, court procedures, and legal strategy. Duties:

  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case development.
  • Draft, review, and revise a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Keep updated on legal developments, including changes to laws and court procedures.
  • Efficiently manage a caseload while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
  • Collaborate in developing legal strategies and case approaches.
  • Represent the firm at legal conferences, in professional associations, and within the community.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar.
  • At least 3-5 years of litigation experience, ideally in family law.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities.
  • Proven excellence in oral advocacy and negotiation.
  • Ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively with the team.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential client information with professionalism.
  • Familiarity with state court procedures and practices.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Superior oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of state court procedures and legal practice.
  • Discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
