A law firm is seeking a Senior Immigration Attorney for their Fall River, MA office.

Job Overview:

The Senior Immigration Attorney will provide clients with expert legal advice and representation in immigration matters. Key responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing and reviewing legal documents, representing clients in immigration court, and providing counsel on immigration policies and procedures.

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in immigration matters
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as visa applications, petitions, and appeals
  • Represent clients in immigration court proceedings and before government agencies
  • Provide counsel on immigration policies, procedures, and potential risks
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
  • 5-7 years of experience.
  • Experience representing clients in immigration court and before government agencies
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing and reviewing legal documents
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish is a plus

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar (or ability to waive in)
  • Additional certifications or training in immigration law preferred
