A law firm in North Charleston, SC is seeking a dedicated Real Estate Closing Attorney to join its team. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing residential and commercial real estate transactions within the office. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers, to ensure smooth transactions. Duties:

  • Oversee a range of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinances.
  • Review titles thoroughly to ensure accurate property ownership information.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate seamless real estate transactions.
  • Draft and review a variety of loan documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Provide clients with a professional and engaging experience, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the closing process.
  • Review and manage the disbursement ledger, ensuring accuracy and signing checks as necessary.
  • Develop and cultivate strong business relationships to contribute to the firm's growth.
  • Conduct training sessions for potential clients, educating them on relevant areas of real estate law.

 

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar.
  • Preferably have experience in closing real estate transactions.
  • Prior residential real estate experience is preferred, though the firm is open to training the right candidate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Member of the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing).
