A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney for its East Palo Alto, CA office. This position involves:

Job Overview: The Junior to Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney will primarily provide transactional tax support, including fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, good business judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as:
    • Working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing.
    • Participating in digital/virtual conference calls.
    • Participating in meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in CA.

Education:

  • J.D. degree.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in CA.
