Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to litigate cases through trial. The candidate will be responsible for preparing legal documents, maintaining client files, assisting clients in resolving legal conflicts, performing legal research, and attending hearings under the supervision of senior attorneys. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential for working with staff and clients.

Duties:

• Litigate cases through trial, including preparing for and attending hearings and other legal proceedings.
• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for negotiations and proceedings.
• Maintain organized client files to ensure up-to-date information is readily available for attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Assist clients in determining proper solutions to legal conflicts and determining the best course of action.
• Resolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals.
• Perform legal research to support case strategies and arguments.

Requirements:

• Successful completion of the Bar exam.
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Effective communication skills to interact with staff and clients.
• Problem-solving skills to address legal issues effectively.
• Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA).
