Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate must have a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree, be licensed to practice law in the State of California, and possess experience in defending against single plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and reasonable accommodation cases.

Duties:

• Defend against single-plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and reasonable accommodation cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law issues.
• Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery requests.
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and discovery motions.
• Take and defend depositions, including plaintiffs' depositions and depositions of corporate witnesses.
• Provide employment counseling on federal and state employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in employment litigation.
• Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
• Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery.
• Experience drafting and arguing motions.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
