Duties:

  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
  • Conducting patentability and infringement analyses.
  • Advising clients on IP matters.
  • Collaborating with clients and inventors to understand inventions and draft patent specifications.
  • Communicating with patent examiners regarding patent applications.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of legal experience.
  • Experience in IP law with a focus on drafting and patent prosecution.
  • Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar.
  • Design engineering experience with a chip company is advantageous.
  • Knowledge or experience in networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or related technologies preferred.
  • Admission to the USPTO.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in at least one state.
  • Admission to the USPTO.
