Associate Attorney needed for Mount Laurel office

A law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team in Mount Laurel, NJ. This role primarily involves managing bankruptcy matters that are contested or litigated. The successful candidate will have significant experience in representing creditors and/or debtors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. They will handle a high-volume workload while maintaining professional client interactions and adhering to strict deadlines.

Duties:

• Manage bankruptcy matters that are contested or litigated.
• Draft and review all pleadings and claims filed in the particular matter.
• Respond to all objections and motions involving the rights of clients.
• Attend scheduled court hearings.
• Respond to general firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries.
• Prepare and execute legal documents related to bankruptcy cases.
• Draft and review all filings on behalf of the clients.
• Monitor all electronic case filings (ECFs).
• Maintain regular communication with clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in bankruptcy and/or creditor’s rights with a working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code.
• Experience representing creditors and/or debtors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases.
• Ability to manage client contact and handle a high-volume workload effectively.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law in Florida and the Federal Districts in Florida.
• Familiarity with Florida bankruptcy courts, local rules, and court procedures.
• License to practice law in Florida preferred, but candidates licensed in other states will be considered.
• Admissions in other jurisdictions and/or experience in bankruptcy litigation is a strong plus and may substitute for admission in Florida.
