Insurance Defense Attorney

A law firm in Burbank, CA is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing insurance defense matters, particularly in bodily injury defense, construction defect, employment, or other insurance defense proceedings. The focus is on providing exceptional customer service while having the freedom to direct legal strategy according to each lawyer's own style. This position requires admission to practice law in the State of California and being in good standing with the State of California Bar. Additional licensure in other states is a plus.

Duties:

• Manage insurance defense matters with a focus on bodily injury defense, construction defect, employment, or other insurance defense proceedings.
• Provide top-notch customer service to clients throughout the legal process.
• Direct legal strategy and litigate cases according to each lawyer's preferred style.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues on case strategy and development.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
• Stay updated on changes in insurance law, court decisions, and legal trends.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school (Required).
• Admission to practice law in the State of California and in good standing with the State of California Bar.
• Demonstrated success in managing cases from inception through resolution.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
