Job Overview: A law firm in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a highly skilled Health Care Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong background in healthcare litigation, particularly in False Claims Act matters. The ideal candidate will have exceptional academic credentials, prior law firm or clerkship experience, and outstanding persuasive writing abilities. This role involves direct client interaction and handling complex, high-stakes cases involving government regulators and investigations.

Duties:

• Handle healthcare litigation cases with a focus on False Claims Act matters.
• Draft federal court pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on various healthcare laws and regulations.
• Communicate and collaborate with clients, colleagues, and government regulators.
• Assist in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and appeals.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 2+ years of experience in health care litigation, preferably with a concentration on False Claims Act cases.
• Previous experience in a law firm or federal clerkship.
• Excellent academic record demonstrating high achievement.
• Strong persuasive writing skills with demonstrated experience in drafting federal court pleadings and motions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Federal clerkship experience.
• Familiarity with health care laws and regulations.
• Bar admission in Missouri or eligibility to waive in.
