This role involves managing a full caseload from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal. Location:

  • Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Duties:

  • Manage bodily injury and related insurance defense litigation matters

  • Conduct pre-suit investigations and develop trial strategies

  • Attend court proceedings, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials

  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

  • Prepare and summarize reports for litigation events and case evaluations

  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel regarding case status and strategy

  • Collaborate with internal legal teams to achieve favorable outcomes for clients

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in bodily injury, personal injury, or medical malpractice

  • Experience as an Assistant State Attorney or Assistant Public Defender also considered

  • First-chair trial experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Florida state and local litigation rules and procedures

  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases in a fast-paced legal environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Florida

  • Member in good standing with the Florida Bar

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills

  • Strong understanding of litigation management software and document storage systems

  • Proficiency in handling electronically stored case files

  • Effective time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with litigation teams
