Job Overview:

A dedicated immigration law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Immigration Attorney to join their dynamic legal team in a full-time capacity. This position offers a hybrid to fully remote work arrangement. The Senior Immigration Attorney will primarily focus on production-related tasks, ensuring effective and efficient case management while providing guidance to junior attorneys and support staff. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in U.S. immigration law, a strong emphasis on removal defense, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex immigration cases.

Location:

  • Irving, TX

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage the production workflow of immigration cases, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards

  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare filings for various immigration processes, including deportation proceedings, asylum, visas, green cards, and naturalization

  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff, providing guidance on case management and professional development

  • Collaborate with team members to strategize and solve complex immigration issues

  • Stay updated on changes in immigration laws, regulations, and policies, and incorporate these updates into case management practices

  • Maintain accurate records of case progress and client communications

  • Conduct consultations with clients as needed to assess case requirements and provide legal advice

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (Required)

  • Admission to the state bar in any jurisdiction and in good standing (Required)

  • 3+ years of experience practicing U.S. immigration law, with a strong focus on removal defense (Required)

  • Experience in preparing for and attending individual merits hearings (Required)

  • Proven track record of managing immigration cases and overseeing production-related tasks (Required)

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly (Required)

  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative environment (Required)

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines (Required)

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software (Required)

  • Must be willing to travel nationwide for individual hearings (Required)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

  • Must reside in the DFW area to meet with clients at any office location as necessary (Required)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (Required)

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar (Required)

  • U.S. immigration law, including removal defense, asylum, visas, and green cards

  • Case management and production workflow oversight
