Job Title: Civil Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A Los Angeles-based law firm with a strong foothold in dispute resolution, probate matters, and family law seeks an accomplished litigation attorney to join its growing practice. This role involves managing a robust caseload focused on civil matters, including business and real property disputes. The ideal candidate is a tenacious legal strategist with a commitment to high-quality client advocacy, courtroom readiness, and strong litigation instincts. This opportunity is available remotely with occasional in-person obligations.

Duties:

• Oversee and independently manage a wide range of litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Represent clients in disputes, including breach of contract, construction defects, real estate conflicts, and employment issues

• Draft complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Lead and participate in depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations

• Argue motions and make regular court appearances

• Prepare for and participate in trials and arbitrations

• Analyze case law, statutes, and procedural rules relevant to ongoing litigation

• Advise clients and interpret legal concepts in accessible language

• Conduct client interviews, draft agreements, and develop case strategies

• Collaborate with internal teams and support staff to meet procedural deadlines

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of California

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil litigation

• Familiarity with the California Code of Civil Procedure and local court rules

• Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload autonomously

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills

• Comfortable making court appearances and arguing motions

• Professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment to client service

• Ability to convey legal information clearly to diverse audiences

• Prior courtroom experience strongly preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Member in good standing with the California State Bar
