Title: Family Law Attorney

Job Overview: A reputable Los Angeles-based law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its growing team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled attorney with a strong background in family law to contribute to a client-focused practice in a professional and supportive environment.

Duties

  • Manage an active caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support issues, and property division.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery requests, responses, motions, briefs, and other essential legal documents.
  • Conduct hearings, trials, and depositions as required.
  • Develop and implement strategic approaches for cases through comprehensive legal research and analysis.
  • Communicate with clients to establish trust and confidence, providing compassionate and attentive service.
  • Draft and negotiate prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
  • Stay updated on current developments in family law, with a particular focus on Los Angeles-related issues.
  • Ensure all activities comply with court and jurisdictional regulations and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing family law.
  • Proven ability to manage a family law caseload effectively and independently.
  • Proficiency in drafting motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Experience with trials, depositions, and courtroom procedures is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Adherence to professional standards, including confidentiality.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership and license to practice law in the state of California.
