Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking a WLIC Litigation Project Attorney to provide comprehensive support for litigation teams. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school, with active admission to any State Bar association.

Job Duties:

  • Analyze and review opposing and third-party productions.
  • Prepare deposition witness kits and deposition summaries.
  • Create fact timelines to support litigation strategies.
  • Provide investigation support as required.
  • Conduct site and fact check for memoranda and litigation briefs.
  • Manage and support client extranet sites efficiently.
  • Offer foreign language matter support for staff attorneys with language skills, including assisting with witness interviews, translating documents, and providing document summaries.
  • Review and analyze documents using various document review and/or contract analysis tools.
  • Follow directions for assignments and balance/prioritize multiple assignments effectively.
  • Meet hours expectations for all assigned matters and communicate any needs for adjustments in budgeted hours.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, actively sharing information to maximize the quality and efficiency of the team’s work product.
  • Deliver superior customer service to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school, with current active admission to any State Bar association required.
  • 1 year of supervisory or management experience in a professional setting.
  • 3 years of litigation experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze litigation-related documents.
  • Ability to work a demanding schedule to meet aggressive project timelines, including nights and weekends if necessary.
  • Competence or demonstrated ability to quickly achieve competence with project-specific document review platforms, such as kCura Relativity.
  • Detail-oriented analytical skills and ability to concentrate for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work productively in a communal, collaborative work environment.
  • Strong sense of project ownership and responsibility for project details and success.
  • Quick comprehension of case objectives and translation into project requirements.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proven interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
