Associate Attorney 2+ years of legal experience

A law firm in Mount Pleasant, SC, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of legal experience, preferably in civil litigation, construction defect, toxic torts, or personal injury. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and conducting legal research. They will communicate with clients and opposing parties to resolve and settle claims, manage a diversified case load from beginning to end, and provide timely reporting. The successful candidate should be licensed to practice in South Carolina, in good standing with the South Carolina Bar, and possess strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to work independently.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research.
• Communicate with clients and opposing parties to resolve and settle claims.
• Manage a diversified case load from beginning to end.
• Provide timely reporting.
• Work closely with other attorneys at depositions and various court appearances.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of legal experience, preferably in civil litigation, construction defects, toxic torts, or personal injury.
• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Experience with WestLaw, i-Manage, and Juris Suite is a plus.
