Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Georgia to represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in judicial residential foreclosure. This role involves appearances in state and federal court for routine and uncontested hearings.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of Georgia judicial foreclosure matters for residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors.
  • Appear in court to argue motions and attend trials for foreclosure, eviction, title disputes, and HOA/COA issues.
  • Communicate regularly with clients for updates and case resolution.
  • Analyze loan files, title reports, and other client documents.
  • Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses.
  • Conduct legal research and writing.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree, licensed in Georgia, and in good standing with the Georgia Bar.
  • Minimum 2 years of motion practice experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of courtroom experience.
  • Knowledge of Georgia Mortgage Foreclosure Law.
  • Knowledge of Georgia Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules.
  • Experience with foreclosures involving residential and commercial property.

Education

  • J.D. degree

Certifications

  • Licensed in Georgia
