Associate Attorney needed for Purchase office

A law firm in Purchase, NY is seeking an Associate Attorney to manage their own caseload with oversight from partners. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of medical malpractice experience, superior analytical and communication skills, and be admitted to practice in New York or certified for admission. Duties:

• Manage own caseload with oversight by partners
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
• Conduct legal research and writing of memorandums
• Attend hearings and court conferences
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Attend inspections and consult with expert witnesses
• Attend mediations and participate in trial preparation and trials

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• 1-5 years of medical malpractice experience
• Superior analytical and communication skills
• Admitted to practice law in New York or certified for admission
• Connecticut admission is a plus
