Job Overview:
A well-regarded national law firm is seeking a Telecommunications Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join its public agency and municipal law practice. This position involves advising local governments and public agencies on a wide range of telecommunications matters, including wireless infrastructure, broadband, rights-of-way, and telecommunications franchising. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys passionate about public policy, infrastructure, and technology law. Location:

  • Riverside, CA

Duties:

  • Advise local governments and public agencies on broadband and wireless infrastructure issues

  • Draft and negotiate cell site leases, licenses, and telecommunications agreements

  • Assist with public review processes for wireless facility applications

  • Draft ordinances regulating telecommunications use of rights-of-way and private property

  • Draft and review franchise agreements with communications and cable providers

  • Support municipal planning and contracting matters related to communications infrastructure

  • Collaborate with clients on regulatory and policy compliance issues

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of legal experience in municipal planning, public agency law, or telecommunications

  • Strong interest in broadband, wireless, or other telecommunications legal matters

  • Experience working with or for local governments or public entities preferred

  • Ability to manage projects and communicate clearly with clients

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar (required)

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and contract drafting skills

  • Familiarity with telecommunications regulations and infrastructure policy

  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities

  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple assignments
