Job Overview:
A respected regional litigation firm is seeking a Family Law Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Morgantown, West Virginia office. The firm focuses on helping clients through some of life’s most emotionally complex situations—including divorce, child custody, and other family law matters. This is an ideal opportunity for a licensed attorney who wants to make a meaningful difference while working in a collaborative and supportive team environment. This role is being recruited on behalf of the law firm by a legal recruiting agency.

Location:

  • Morgantown, West Virginia

Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law litigation, including trials, hearings, and mediations

  • Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, orders, and settlement agreements

  • Develop and implement personalized legal strategies focused on client goals

  • Supervise support staff and paralegals in preparation of legal documents

  • Manage equitable distribution of assets and liabilities in divorce cases

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of West Virginia

  • Family law litigation experience preferred but not required

  • Commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered legal representation

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • West Virginia Bar admission in good standing
