A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a skilled Federal COA Clerk/Attorney with at least 3 years of big law litigation experience.

Duties:

  • Assist in drafting legal documents, including briefs, motions, and appellate filings.
  • Conduct legal research on complex issues related to federal appellate practice.
  • Prepare summaries of case law, statutes, and regulations for briefs and arguments.
  • Review trial records and transcripts to identify relevant issues for appeal.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel regarding case matters.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for oral arguments and appellate hearings.
  • Manage case files, deadlines, and court filings in compliance with procedural rules.
  • Provide general support to attorneys and legal staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
  • At least 3 years of experience in big law litigation.
  • Familiarity with federal appellate practice and procedures.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research databases and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:
