Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A full-service law firm based in Florham Park, NJ is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its Insurance Coverage practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience litigating complex insurance coverage matters. The position offers immediate responsibility, the opportunity to manage all phases of litigation, and a clear path to gaining trial experience in a dynamic and growing practice group.

Location:

• Florham Park, New Jersey

Duties:

• Litigate insurance coverage matters from inception through resolution

• Handle all aspects of pre-trial litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses, and manage document production

• Develop and implement litigation strategies aligned with client objectives

• Draft coverage opinions and provide legal analysis related to various insurance policies

• Appear in court for hearings, case conferences, and motion arguments

• Work closely with clients to provide status updates and strategic counsel

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of experience litigating insurance coverage matters

• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently

• Significant experience in pre-trial litigation and motion practice

• Excellent organizational and case management abilities

• Ability to collaborate within a team and provide client-focused service

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the New Jersey Bar (required)

• Admission to the New York Bar (preferred but not required)

Skills:
