A law firm in Chantilly is seeking Counsel with a focus on eDiscovery, information governance, and data privacy. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience advising clients on eDiscovery issues, developing discovery plans, leveraging technology, and managing the discovery process. The position requires excellent judgment, client management skills, and the ability to demonstrate thought leadership in relevant practice areas.

 

Duties:

  • Advise clients on a range of eDiscovery issues.
  • Develop discovery plans and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Implement and leverage discovery analytics and technology.
  • Manage the discovery process and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Impress and handle a range of clients.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in relevant practice areas.
  • Utilize strong technical, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Facilitate project plan design and execution.
  • Communicate effectively through written and oral channels.
  • Collaborate with team members, clients, and business partners.
  • Analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Stay up-to-date with existing and emerging laws and practices in eDiscovery, information governance, and data privacy.
  • Maintain admission to the Bar in at least one of the following jurisdictions: California, Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia, Washington D.C.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in eDiscovery and information governance within a law firm, consulting advisory firm, or corporate management function.
  • Extensive knowledge of legal principles related to eDiscovery, information governance, and data privacy.

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in at least one of the following jurisdictions: California, Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia, Washington D.C.
