Natural Resources Attorney

A law firm in Sacramento is actively seeking a dedicated Natural Resources Attorney with 3-7 years of experience in water, environmental, or land use law. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and writing skills, relevant academic coursework or work experience, and the ability to thrive as a team member in a fast-paced legal environment. Litigation experience is a plus, and the candidate must be admitted to the California State Bar.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis in the field of natural resources law.
• Provide legal counsel on water, environmental, and land use matters.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with legal teams on complex natural resources cases.
• Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and opposing counsel.
• Stay updated on legal developments in natural resources law.

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of experience in water, environmental, or land use law.
• Admitted to the California State Bar.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Relevant academic coursework or work experience.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
• Litigation experience is a plus.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
