Location:

Duties:

• Identify client conflicts and develop case strategies with options for resolution.
• Manage and supervise administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
• Advise clients on available options to achieve favorable outcomes and plan a course of action.
• Represent clients in a variety of criminal defense cases, including misdemeanors and felonies.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare for court appearances.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to ensure client satisfaction and case success.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the legal process.
• Participate in professional development and firm initiatives to enhance skills and contribute to the firm's growth.

Requirements:

• Active member of the local bar association preferred.
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 2 years of experience representing clients in criminal defense.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with legal research programs (Westlaw, Lexis).
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a law firm environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Active bar admission in NJ required; admission to NY/PA is a plus.
• 3-6 years of experience in criminal defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar admission in NJ (required).
• Admission to NY/PA (a plus).
