This role offers the opportunity to represent employers in complex workplace disputes and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will have experience handling employment-related claims, providing advisory services to corporate clients, and navigating administrative proceedings. This position is offered through a legal recruiting partner working on behalf of the hiring firm.

Duties:

  • Handle defense of employment-related litigation, including single-plaintiff and class/collective actions

  • Respond to charges and complaints from state and federal administrative agencies

  • Advocate on behalf of employers in court, arbitration, and mediation settings

  • Deliver training sessions and ongoing guidance to employers on labor and employment legal matters

  • Assist in drafting employment agreements, handbooks, and policy documents

  • Collaborate with internal teams on strategic planning and litigation management

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of legal experience, ideally with a focus on employment law or workplace litigation

  • Licensed to practice law in Michigan and good standing

  • Familiarity with state and federal agency protocols and administrative law procedures

  • Demonstrated litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, and handling hearings

  • Professional presence and the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:
