A law firm in Meridian, ID, is seeking an Attorney with experience in all phases of litigation, particularly in general liability.

Job Overview:

The Attorney will be responsible for creating defense strategies, managing client communication, conducting investigations, and representing clients in court proceedings. They should demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to managing their docket.

Duties:

• Develop defense strategies for litigation cases.
• Communicate with clients and provide regular reports on case progress.
• Conduct investigations to gather evidence and information.
• Draft initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity.
• Draft discovery requests and responses.
• Manage motion practice, including drafting and responding to discovery-related motions.
• Attend court appearances regularly.
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
• Draft motions for summary judgment.
• Proactively manage case docket to ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Mediation, arbitration, and trial experience preferred, either as first or second chair.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent research abilities and written and oral communication skills.
• Book of business is a plus.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of insurance defense experience.
• Admitted to practice in the State of Idaho.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in the State of Idaho.
