The ideal candidate should possess excellent writing and communication skills, along with 2+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience. The role requires a degree in electrical engineering or computer science, JD, and admission to the USPTO.

Duties:

  • Conduct patent preparation and prosecution activities in the field of electrical engineering or computer science.
  • Collaborate with clients, inventors, and senior attorneys to understand and address legal issues related to intellectual property.
  • Draft and review patent applications, responses to office actions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research to support patent prosecution efforts and stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patent strategies for clients.

Requirements:

  • A high level of academic achievement.
  • 2+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
  • JD and admission to the USPTO.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science.
  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in patent prosecution related to electrical engineering or software-related technologies.
  • Experience in data science/AI, networking technologies, especially network security.
  • Experience in machine learning/artificial intelligence and hardware security.

Skills:
