Job Overview:

A reputable law firm located in Colorado Springs, CO, seeks a driven and experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to independently manage a diverse caseload of injury-related claims. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote flexibility with necessary in-person court appearances and client meetings. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation attorney with at least 2 years of personal injury experience who is ready to take ownership of their cases while contributing to a supportive and growth-focused legal team.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, pedestrian incidents, premises liability, and dog bite claims.

• Handle cases from inception through trial, including client consultations, discovery, negotiations, court filings, and hearings.

• Act as lead attorney at evidentiary hearings, bench trials, jury trials, mediations, and depositions.

• Interview clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses, providing comprehensive legal advice throughout the litigation process.

• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery responses, and demand letters with high attention to detail.

• Maintain timely and thorough case notes within the firm's case management system.

• Collaborate with litigation support staff, including paralegals and legal assistants, providing mentorship and effective delegation.

• Prepare thoroughly for case meetings, ensuring that all relevant materials are reviewed in advance.

• Adhere to all litigation deadlines and procedural requirements without exception.

• Update calendar events, case progress, and communicate clearly when unavailable to ensure seamless case management.

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado and good standing.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in personal injury litigation, preferably with first-chair trial experience.

• Strong negotiation skills and courtroom advocacy abilities.

• Capable of independently managing a substantial litigation caseload with minimal oversight.

• Commitment to delivering excellent client service and achieving favorable outcomes.

• Familiarity with personal injury, wrongful death, civil litigation, and related tort law.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Colorado Bar (Required).

Skills:

• Proficiency in case management software (Filevine experience preferred).

• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and electronic court filing systems.

• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Organizational aptitude with keen attention to deadlines and procedural accuracy.

• Bilingual abilities are highly preferred.
