Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

A distinguished law firm based in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 1–5 years of experience to join its dynamic legal team. The firm handles a wide array of litigation matters, including personal injury, class actions, and sex abuse cases. The role allows for autonomy on assigned cases as well as collaborative work with internal and external legal teams on large-scale matters.

Duties

• Represent clients in a variety of civil litigation cases, including personal injury, mass tort, sex abuse, and class actions

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Participate in all stages of discovery, including depositions and document production

• Conduct legal research and analysis

• Prepare for and participate in trials and appeals

• Collaborate with internal team members and outside counsel on complex litigation

• Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethics in all case-related activities

Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of litigation experience

• Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina

• Strong interest in trial advocacy and courtroom development

• Demonstrated reliability and strong professional references

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active North Carolina Bar license in good standing
