Job Overview

A distinguished law firm based in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 1–5 years of experience to join its dynamic legal team. The firm handles a wide array of litigation matters, including personal injury, class actions, and sex abuse cases. This is a unique opportunity to work on both individual and high-profile, complex litigation in state and federal courts. The role allows for autonomy on assigned cases as well as collaborative work with internal and external legal teams on large-scale matters.

Location

  • Wilmington, North Carolina

Duties

  • Represent clients in a variety of civil litigation cases, including personal injury, mass tort, sex abuse, and class actions

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

  • Participate in all stages of discovery, including depositions and document production

  • Conduct legal research and analysis

  • Prepare for and participate in trials and appeals

  • Collaborate with internal team members and outside counsel on complex litigation

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethics in all case-related activities

Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years of litigation experience

  • Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina

  • Strong interest in trial advocacy and courtroom development

  • Demonstrated reliability and strong professional references

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active North Carolina Bar license in good standing
