Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a mid-level Commercial Contracts and Supply Chain Associate Attorney to join its growing Business Practice Group. This role will focus on representing clients in diverse industry sectors, with a particular emphasis on the consumer goods and consumer products industries. The associate will handle sophisticated commercial agreements, collaborate with experienced attorneys across multiple offices, and contribute to a dynamic and supportive legal team dedicated to client success and professional growth.

Location

Duties

  • Draft, negotiate, and review a variety of commercial agreements, including:

    • Manufacturing Agreements

    • Distribution Agreements

    • Sales Broker Agreements

    • Raw Material Supply Agreements

    • Packaging Supply Agreements

    • Equipment Leases

    • Equipment Purchase Agreements

    • Product Purchase, Sale, and Supply Agreements

  • Advise business clients on contract law, commercial risk management, and compliance issues

  • Provide day-to-day legal support to small and large businesses across various industry sectors

  • Collaborate with attorneys in multiple offices on cross-practice transactional matters

  • Participate in firm initiatives promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and pro bono work (optional but encouraged)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts

  • Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial risk management strategies

  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and independently

  • Client-focused mindset with strong relationship management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and project management skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills

  • Expertise in commercial contracting in the consumer goods and consumer products industries

  • Familiarity with supply chain agreements and transactional structures

  • Practical problem-solving and strategic legal analysis capabilities

  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines

  • Strong professional judgment and decision-making skills
